Rehearsing all week for my one shot of fame, I stepped up to the microphone during the major audition and sang my heart out. To me it was my best performance ever and I couldn’t understand why the crowd didn’t react or why the judges had this weird look on their faces. Just then one of the judges stated, “Would you mind turning on the microphone?” I have never been so embarrassed…never.
