Growing up in the big city, I was not around a lot of horses. Then one day, our grade nine class all went on a field trip to Shubenacadie. I was amazed at all the different animals and then I saw a horse locked behind the giant field. Wondering why he was not with the rest of the animals, I made my way to pat him and then I saw why. He had five legs! I thought WOW he is a special horse and I screamed from the top of my lungs to my group on the other side, over and over, “This horse has five legs! Come see, come see everyone!” Well, my screaming gathered a crowd of over 100 people, students and strangers alike, only to find out the horse had four legs and the other thing was his ding. OH, you just cannot imagine the double embarrassment I felt as I realized I was staring all this time at a horse’s ding as everyone was laughing at me.
