MIA Cathleen P2YS XPOHelp us welcome Mia Cathleen to the 9th Annual Passport 2 You-th Success XPO stage, Nov 13-14, 2019.

Let’s meet MIA CATHLEEN

Mia Cathleen began drawing as a young child, and first picked up a guitar when she was 11. As she grew older, she gained more interest in music and began to write her own songs at the age of 14.

As long as I can remember, I used art as a means of self-expression.

Mia’s art and music evolved, along with her skills. She wrote, recorded, produced, released, and even created the artwork for her first album, titled “Know Me” in 2018. Mia is now working on the second album of acoustic demos, in the hopes of demonstrating her musical and artistic growth since the release of “Know Me.”

Mia’s style centers around her poetic lyricism and beautiful melodies- her lyrics can be dark, playful, or romantic, but are always meant to be thought-provoking, and she plays her guitar with a mash-up of different scales, chord progressions, and rhythms, to give herself a unique sound. She has played a number of shows since, including the In the Dead of Winter Festival and Halifax Urban Folk Fest.

MIA Cathleen performs at the Passport 2 Youth Success XPO P2YS XPOI draw inspiration from a wide variety of artists in a diverse selection of genres, such as Amy Winehouse, Leonard Cohen, Kendrick Lamar, Alice N’ Chains, and Led Zeppelin to be among of my favourite musicians.
