A few days after my girlfriend and I broke up, I decided to send her an email. I wanted her to know I was sorry, that it was my fault and I was willing to do anything for her to take me back – I’d even beg if I had to. The next day in class, my letter was printed out and stuck on a wall in our classroom with a note written on it: “If you mean this, tell me in front of the whole class!” Embarrassed, I read my letter out loud.
